Neu Wixom Dance Academy is a wholesome place to dance where every student matters. The peculiar spelling of the word ‘Neu’ was inspired by a combination of the new developments happening in Wixom at the time of Neu Wixom’s grand opening and from the owner’s maiden name (Neubauer). The Academy officially opened for classes January 3, 2006 with about 35 students. Within two months, the academy had more than doubled in size, soon accommodating over 100 students. Neu Wixom Dance Academy is now proudly serving over 200 students after its 2010 expansion. Neu Wixom will always remain focused on excellent customer service and continue to provide personal attention to every student. Neu Wixom Dance Academy is proud to offer only the best quality of service and instruction from an all adult staff with professional instructors. It offers four levels of dance ranging from recreational just-for-fun sessions, school-year long recital classes, and the competitive and performance dance companies. Music Theatre, Theatre and Acro have also been added to the diverse curriculum. Neu Wixom believes in encouraging students to support their dance training with a solid Ballet foundation and proper dance technique. Furthermore, it strives to create a welcoming atmosphere where students are supported and challenged to reach their fullest potential for personal growth. Our students come from a wide range of cities including Wixom, Walled Lake, Commerce, Milford, Novi, Northville, New Hudson, Highland, White Lake, Wolverine Lake, South Lyon, Farmington Hills, Livonia and Plymouth. Neu Wixom Dance Academy offers pre-school through adult dance including: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Breakdance, Music Theatre, Theatre Movement for the Stage, Acro and Ballroom Basics for Wedding Dances.
