Neu Wixom Dance Academy is a wholesome place to dance where every student matters. The peculiar spelling of the word ‘Neu’ was inspired by a combination of the ‘neu’ developments within Wixom and from the owner’s maiden name (Neubauer). The Academy officially opened for classes January 3, 2006 with about 35 students. Within two months, the academy had more than doubled in size, soon accommodating well over 100 students. It is now proudly serving over 300 students after the 2010 expansion and it will always remain focused on personal customer service and providing personal attention to every student. Neu Wixom Dance Academy is proud to offer only the best quality of service and instruction from an all adult staff with professional instructors. It offers three levels of dance ranging from, recreational just-for-fun sessions, school-year long recital classes and the competitive and performance dance companies. Music Theatre, Theatre and Acro has also been added to the curriculum. Neu Wixom believes in encouraging students to support their dance training with a solid Ballet foundation, proper technique, personal stylistic growth and to keep the atmosphere fun where all students are important. Our students come from a wide range of cities including Wixom, Walled Lake, Commerce, Milford, Novi, Northville, New Hudson, Highland, White Lake, Wolverine Lake, South Lyon, Farmington Hills, Livonia and Plymouth. Neu Wixom Dance Academy offers pre-school through adult dance including: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Breakdance, Music Theatre, Theatre & Movement for the Stage, Acro, Zumba and Ballroom Basics for Wedding Dances.
